Welcome to Steamers Restaurant

Our family-run restaurant is situated in the beautiful fishing village of Beer on the Jurassic Coast in East Devon. Steamers gets its name from the building's original use as a steam bakery.

Our food is all prepared to order using fresh, local ingredients and we offer a selection of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. Those with special dietary requirements can also be catered for.

There is a relaxed atmosphere with friendly service. We have facilities for families and the restaurant is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Steamers News...

Christmas at Steamers
Our Christmas Menu will be available at lunch and dinner from Tuesday 4th December until Monday 24th December at £19 for 2 Courses and £23 for 3 courses (plus tea or coffee at the end of your meal). Alongside our Christmas Menu, our Fish Taster Menu and our A La Carte Menu will also be available.

Opening Hours over the Christmas period

  • We are open as usual up to and including Christmas Eve (which is a Monday), then we will be closed for three days Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th December.
  • We will be open again on Friday 28th December.
  • On New Year’s Eve we are only open in the evening and on New Year Day we are only open for Coffee & Brunch from 11am to 2.30pm
  • Then from Tuesday 2nd January 2019 we will be open as usual.

Steamers Fish Taster Menu
Each course has three different dishes on one plate. Homemade bread is served with the starter plate and roasted vegetables and potatoes are served with the main course. The dishes change daily and are made with fresh local fish and seafood. The dessert plate has taster portions of three of our desserts. Our Fish Taster Menu is available for both lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday (and on the Sunday evenings we are open). Two courses for £20 and three courses for £25.
